Sometimes you want nothing more in the world than to grab some pals, grab a bevy and indulge in some bonafide retail therapy.
Well that’s just what I did with my good buddy Aggie from Plus Size Panda. We hit up the Toronto Eaton Centre, which has the most options for us full figured gals under one roof (4 whole stores!!) with The Bay, Saks and Addition Elle a stone’s throw away.
Even though all we had planned was to browse and indulge in some drinkies (bubble tea for her and an orange julius for me), I still wanted to look cute. What does one wear for a casual mall date?
My answer to everything is jeans.
These high waisted beauties are from Addition Elle. I scored them during their Black Friday sale; BOGO Free on all sale items. I got two pairs of jeans for $75 taxes and shipping included! This pair has quickly become a favourite. We just won’t talk about the other pair *ahem*
I love to take a pair of jeans out on the town. You can do so much with jeans. For our mallrat date, I paired my dream jeans with a cropped tank top from H&M, chunky booties and a blanket scarf (to chase away any chills). Armed with a to-go coffee I was ready to brave the retail mecca and get my Orange Julius on.
I got this super cozy blanket scarf in my FabFitFun box. It's from Modcloth, which is one of those stores I love but can never justify shopping at. The carry plus but their sizes are sporadic and you'll always get dinged with duty and brokerage fees. Boo
You've seen these shoes before. I think they were my favourite footwear purchase of 2015. I've gone shopping all day in them, dancing all night and they are just super comfy. I will admit that they are heavy but look at the solid heel!! (Please ignore my Donatello TMNT socks XD ).
Also, these wee cropped trapeze tanks are a wardrobe staple for me. Coming in at $6.99 from H&M's basics line, I buy about 10 every summer. The fabric is pretty flimsy so they wear out quickly but they go with everything. I wear almost no other shirts all summer then I use them as layering pieces all winter. Trés cheap chic.
All in all, a great day was had at Eaton's Centre. I know the question on everybody's lips is, "Well did she buy anything?!" You'll just have to wait for another post.
Jeans (Addition Elle): $35 (Black Friday Sale)
Tank Top (H&M basics): $6.99
Blanket Scarf (Modcloth for Fabfitfun): The box costs about $65 but I got 9 item so we'll say it was $7.50
Shoes (Spring): $45
