This past Saturday I was invited to a fondue party and mini clothing swap by a member of the Curvy Bunz community, Shannon. Myself and 6 other bodacious babes invaded Mississauga for a cheesy, fun filled evening. We snacked and shared tales and swapped garments. I got some great items (Stay tuned for my swap haul on an upcoming post). There's another Curvy Bunz Swap coming up this Sunday! I'll do a haul post for both swaps next week.
After we had filled ourselves with dairy delights we headed downtown to see fellow curvy bun Zane and her band GenX. Zane is the lovely and stylish lady that traded me my evening gown for the Miss Fuller Woman Competition. Zane is lovely and beautiful and stylish and SUPER FREAKIN’ TALENTED!!!! She’s a bad ass, curvy babe with a killer set of pipes.
There’s a theory around music and the music people prefer. It’s said that the music of your high school years will be the basis for your musical choices for the rest of your life. Combine that with the definite nostalgia that the music of your youth fills you with, retro nights make for a real good time. I missed GenX’s first two gigs because of the frankenfoot but I was not missing this one. Needless to say I was very excited.
GenX rocked the house and it was a veritable sing along! At one point Zane donned a tiara and dedicated Hole’s “Miss World” to me. I was ecstatic!
It was a perfect night and I am looking forward to the next one.
